Playlab133 UPDATE - Spring 2022
Despite our best efforts, minimum enrollment was not achieved in order to run playlab133's spring session
We almost made our registration target, but unfortunately, and despite the tireless efforts of our Extended Day Committee, there were not enough registrations to run our Playlab133 pilot program this spring 2022. The relaunch is postponed until September 2022.
At this time, everyone who registered has received an email with an explanation that they will receive a refund and those refunds are in process. We thank everyone for their interest in the program and your commitment to this community. We have learned a great deal from this experience and we are very hopeful that we are able to run the program in the fall. Please reach out to [email protected] with any questions or to volunteer. Playlab133 cannot happen without you!
Thank you for all of your time and support.
- PTA of PS 133 Extended Day Committee

P.S. 133’s other independently run after school programs, University Settlement and Kids Orbit, also believe in delivering a quality program where children have fun in creative and positive ways, build skills, gain self-esteem, and develop healthy relationships. Contact and registration information is listed immediately below.

For those interested in after school enrichment programs that offer dismissal pick-up from P.S. 133, we will continue to update this list of available options

Playlab started as a parent-run program and needs your help now more than ever. Please consider volunteering your time and resources to the PTA Extended Day Committee in reshaping playlab for Spring 2022 and beyond!

University Settlement

University Settlement Logo
University Settlement provides a relaxed, child-centered atmosphere that encourages children to
be their best. The curriculum includes art, music, science, literacy development, cooperative play and personal and social responsibility. Each day of the week has its own theme in addition to the arts, sports, and homework help that are offered regularly. You must be registered in the program in order to attend.
Applications will be distributed on the first day of school both at morning drop off. Due to the large volume of applicants, students will be selected based on a lottery system. Be sure to submit all paperwork including a medical form in order to be entered into the lottery for the program. Please contact Nikki Perez at 917-337-3211 if you have any questions about University Settlement. After-school runs from 2:40–5:30pm Monday through Friday.
Kids Orbit Afterschool's Logo
Kids Orbit offers a flexible program to meet the needs of children and parents. We supervise homework and offer a variety of enrichment activities ranging from yoga and sports to art, music, and drama. We sit quietly and read and draw. We play board games with our friends. We laugh and have a lot of fun. This program can be full-time or part-time.

Kids Orbit will be opening an 8-week outdoor fall season on Monday, September 21.

Our schedule will include both MID-DAY PLAY and AFTER SCHOOL PROGRAMS.  These programs will continue to operate even if schools go "full remote."  Please press on the Kids orbit logo above  for more information.

For questions or to register, visit the Kids Orbit website or contact the office at (718) 768-4426 for more information.
