Encore Enrichment Afterschool Classes
Welcome to Encore, after-school enrichment programming at PS 133 for PreK through 5th Grade. Classes range from art, music, theater, and dance, to chess, cooking and coding... and more! Any student enrolled at PS133 can sign up for Encore classes, regardless of if they are in another full time after-school program (Kid's Orbit or University Settlement), or not enrolled in another afterschool.

Registration Details. Encore is managed by our afterschool partner, TEiAM. Registration for the 2026 Winter Trimester is open and will run through December 28th! Classes must reach minimum enrollment by December 22nd to continue.
Class Timing Classes take place during 8 week trimesters throughout the year. Generally, classes run from 3-4PM for PreK - 1st grade, and 4-5PM for 2nd - 5th grade, but in some cases where PreK isn't offered or where it makes sense, the class breakouts will be K-2 from 3-4PM and 3-5th from 4-5PM. If your student is enrolled in full-time afterschool on site, TEiAM will collect and return your student appropriately. If your student is not enrolled in a full time after-school program, TEiAM will have care from the end of the school day until the end of their registered class; in this case, if your child is not picked up on time you will incur a late fee.
Cost | Classes cost $300 for an 8 week session + a good-for-the-year $50 registration fee of $50 paid to TEiAM. This will be charged through the registration portal Sawyer after classes are confirmed.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
If my child is not enrolled in another afterschool program, does Encore include care after the enrichment class? No. Encore includes only care in between school dismissal and the start of enrichment programming.
What happens between school dismissal and the start of my student's Encore class? In that time, TEiAM staff will care for students registered for Encore until their class begins. For Period 2 (4PM start), these students should feel free to bring snacks, games, homework, books and activities for their time with TEiAM before their class.
What happens if not that many kids sign up for a class? If we do not hit a critical number for a class, we will not move forward with the class. In this case, you can either select another class at the same time, or request a refund.
How many students are in an Encore class? This depends on the class, but can range from 6 - 15 students.
Where will the Encore classes take place? It depends on the class, but all classes will take place on site. They can take place in classrooms, the gym, cafeteria, or auditorium.
Does my student need to bring any equipment to these classes, or is everything provided on site? Nope, everything is provided on site. We do ask, though that they wear the appropriate clothes and shoes for relevant activities (e.g., Soccer).
Can I request a scholarship for my student? Yes. Please fill out the form here. We cannot guarantee that we will be able to accommodate your scholarship request, but will do our best! Please note, that if you register and pay for a spot in a class, and then receive a scholarship spot, you cannot be refunded for your purchase.
