❓ FAQ: Discovery Kids @ PS 133 (2025–2026)

Q: What ages/grades can enroll?
A: Discovery Kids serves 3K through 1st grade.

Q: Is the program dual-language immersion?
A: Yes! We offer both French and Spanish classrooms with a target language ratio of ~90%. English is used for reflection and support.

Q: What are the program hours?
A: Dismissal until 5:30 PM, Monday–Friday. Pending late pick-up availability upon demand.

Q: Can I sign up for specific days?
A: Yes, part-time (2–3 days/week) and full-time (4 - 5 days/week) options are available. Drop-ins for 1 day/week welcome space permitting.

Q: What's the tuition per month?
A: $750 - 5 days/week, $600 - 4 days/week, $450 - 3 days/week, $300 - 2 days/week.

Q: Will tuition be prorated? A. Tuition will be prorated for any family joining in the middle of a month. Additionally, programming will also be prorated for the last month of programming June 2026. Otherwise, tuition is not prorated in order to maintain the program's fixed costs, regardless of attendance, including staff salaries, administrative fees, supplies and materials, and insurance. Fairness and equity is also maintained within the program by keeping a fixed monthly cost for all families.Families who attend less for varying schedules throughout the duration of the program would pay less under a fully prorated program, but the program’s costs wouldn’t change. This would likely raise tuition for everyone else or make the program unsustainable.

Q: Will there be a Spanish classroom in 2025–2026?
A: Yes—if enrollment meets our minimum.

Q: What’s the student-to-teacher ratio?
A: Small group instruction with 2 instructors per classroom (max 15:2 ratio).
