MONDAY
Magic with Tricky Biz
- Magic Explorers [K - 1] is a new program for grades K-1 developed by Discover Magic to teach kids to care. Our UNIQUELY DESIGNED MAPs (Magic Activity Packs) provide a creative mixture of magic, arts & crafts, and educational content that teaches lessons and highlights how important it is to care!
- Discover Magic [2nd - 5th ] is a one of a kind program for grades 2nd-5th, internationally recognized, and created by some of the top magicians of our time. In this course kids are given secret file folders, custom tricks you won't find anywhere else, and unique opportunities to boost self confidence, build communication skills, and make new friends.
Pickleball
- Pickleball - Pickleball Stars is a fun, beginner-friendly pickleball program designed for kids. Through engaging games and activities, students learn the fundamentals of pickleball—hand-eye coordination, movement, teamwork, and sportsmanship—while building confidence and a love of play in a positive and supportive environment. Whether it’s their first time holding a paddle or they’ve played before, every child will shine like a star on the court!
- Roots of Rhythm [PreK - 1st] - Roots of Rhythm: Students will learn about a variety of percussion instruments and their geographic origin. As an ensemble, students will learn to play different rhythms and interact using key musical elements such as dynamics, tone, call and response, unison, and improvisation. This adaptive curriculum is meant to engage the learner at every level, developing motor skills, team building skills, and musical ability, while providing a unique, educational, fun experience.
- Group Guitar [2nd - 5th] - Guitar with S'Cool Sounds: Students will be introduced to the guitar learning the fundamentals of hand position, posture, and technique. Students will use the guitar as a foundation for learning musical concepts and theories as well as songs and common repertoire. Students will work towards forming ensembles within their classroom to play songs together.
TUESDAY
Capoeira with Motumbaxe Capoeira
- Capoeira is a unique Brazilian Martial Art which also incorporates acrobatics and music. Mestre Lampréia is known for his work with kids, through teaching in NYC schools for over 20 years, and at his own studio in downtown Brooklyn—Motumbaxé Capoeira and Jiu Jitsu. In this afterschool Capoeira program, the kids will do drills and games of Capoeira technique and will develop coordination, fitness, perception, self awareness and control, socialization and leadership. The classes are both really fun for the kids, and also disciplined and challenging.
Theater with Child's Play NY
- Make a Musical: Under the Sea with Child's Play NY [PreK - 1] Led by professionally-trained actors, students flex their imaginative muscles and learn the basics of storytelling, character development, singing and choreography. Dive into drama, inspired by Moana, The Little Mermaid and the best aquatic-themed children’s lit! Shape-shift with your favorite demi-god, play a game of Sneaky Tag with the Sea Witch, save the heart of our island, and enjoy showing off your skills at the underwater ball! Kids are inspired to create their own stories and sing classic songs for a “splashy” final showcase.
- Hogwarts School with Child's Play NY for [2nd-5th] - Join us as we use the “magic” of theater to explore this Wizarding World. Using the Harry Potter series as a springboard, we will generate original stories as well as rehearse scripted scenes from the films. Students will get to hone their writing and improv skills as they create plays based on their favorite iconic characters or imagine new ones in this magical world. In addition to the acting work, we’ll play games of Quidditch, make spell books and compete for the House Cup. Class culminates in a showcase for families. Jump on your Firebolt and let’s play!
Garden to Kitchen: Cooking from the Garden
- Join the Brooklyn Rewilders afterschool program at PS 133, where kids dig into the wonders of the garden and kitchen. Each week, students will plant, harvest, and cook with fresh, seasonal ingredients—learning where food comes from and how to make simple, delicious recipes. Along the way, they’ll explore science, sustainability, and creativity while building community and confidence. Hands-on, fun, and a little messy—just the way learning should be!

WEDNESDAY
- Soccer: The French Football Academy currently partners with early childhood, elementary and middle school programs to offer unique in-house programming. Our unique age-specific curriculum is designed by a combination of education, behavioral and soccer specialists to ensure that each child is developing skills, improving their self-confidence, and having a blast. The session usually starts with a game with or without the ball to warm up. Then the coach will focus on one or several skills and will finish the session with short sided soccer game(s).
- Drawing and Wood Construction with Artist Noel Copleand, beloved PS133 Artist in residence. For the first 4 weeks, Students will explore a variety of drawing materials and techniques. They will use Ebony drawing pencil, oil pastel and watercolor to create imaginative and observational drawings. The students will develop their art vocabulary and ability to talk about their art making process. For the last 4 weeks, students will explore 3-Dimentional wood construction. They will experiment with balance, forms and space to create imaginative figures and abstract sculptures. Students will add colors to their sculpture and develop their painting skill.
THURSDAY
- Basketball with Coach Teresa. Learn and build on your skills in fun and positive ways. Participants gain insight into individual and team play through engaged drills and games. Basketball is great for teamwork, hand eye coordination, cardio, reaction, strength, mobility, and more. Individuals at all levels will be properly challenged for growth. Coach Teresa is a personal trainer and group trainer who has been coaching for over 10 years. She played in college and has experience coaching college, high school, and elementary teams and individual athletes.
- Group Piano The Anselmo Academy of Music and The Arts is a non-profit organization that has worked closely with many after-school programs in Brooklyn, and NYC for 20 plus years. We offer private and group instruction on all instruments to students of all ages and experience levels. Group Piano is a beginners piano class. Students will be encouraged to learn basic music skills, listening, singing and clapping, note reading and writing, music theory, improvisation and more. A keyboard/keyboards will be provided for the lessons and a book will be recommended after the first class. All students will be invited to perform at our in-person end of the year Spring recital. Our recitals are a fun way to celebrate music and to share what our students have learned throughout the school year with friends and family.

- PreK and K Workshops: A gentle and engaging introduction to French designed especially for our littlest learners. Children explore the language through sensory-rich stories, songs, crafts, and movement-based play. Ideal for families considering a Dual Language Program (DLP) or simply looking to plant the seeds of bilingualism.
- 1st- 3rd: These dynamic workshops take kids on a fun-filled journey across the Francophone world! Through music, cultural traditions, storytelling, and hands-on projects, children build vocabulary, practice speaking, and deepen their cultural awareness, entirely in French.

FRIDAY
- Dance with Ms. Wylie - Explore Hip Hop and Modern dance with our beloved PS133 Dance teacher!
- Chess - Students learn to play chess or learn how to play chess better. Each week an expert or master strategy is taught and then practiced with other kids in the class. During the program students learn to read and write chess and participate in tournaments where they can earn medals and trophies.
