Native Plants
Planting native plants help support the local ecosystem. The plants native to this continent evolved together with local wildlife for thousands of years before European settlers arrived and vastly accelerated the spread of invasive species. Many insects, birds and other animals rely on native plants for their survival. With climate change and the acceleration of habitat destruction and species loss, it is more important than ever to plant native plants.
